New River Gorge Campground

Located in Lansing, West Virginia.
Modified operations due to COVID-19. No cash, no walk-ins, mobile check-in. No vehicles over 20', no trailers, no RVs. Per CDC guidance, all individuals are asked to mask indoors, and outdoors when in congested areas where 6-foot physical distancing cannot be maintained.

Communal Area

Communal camping is for SMALL TENTS ONLY (two-person or smaller), located in the open area between the pavilion and bathhouse. Price includes 6% West Virginia Sales Tax.

Vehicle Site

Designated "flat" parking for vehicle sleepers (car, van, truck, or rooftop tents). Site priced for two people, one vehicle; no picnic table; leveling blocks provided. These sites are spread out throughout the campground. Prices include 6% WV sales tax.

    Per CDC guidance, all individuals are asked to mask indoors, and outdoors when in congested areas where 6-foot physical distancing cannot be maintained.

    RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE

    Before your stay, please email [email protected] with the name and email address of ALL people in your party (unless you did this when registering). In the event that a suspected or confirmed coronavirus case occurs, this information will be utilized to inform guests and state contact tracers. ​

    Only park on gravel surfaces.

    Tent sites in communal areas must be 20 feet apart. Communal is for SMALL TENTS ONLY (two-person or smaller). ​ ​

    Personal fires are NOT allowed at campsites. ​

    There will be limited office hours: 7-9 a.m. weekdays and 7-11 a.m. weekends. ​ ​

    Mobile Check-in: Text/Call 304.693.2667 text your name, campsite number, and make/model/license plate number for all cars in your party. Expect a detailed email 24 hours before your stay with your campsite location and additional information. Please feel free to leave a note on the whiteboard on the office door or text 304.693.2667 if you need anything outside of office hours and the manager will touch base with you. ​ ​ ​

    SICK GUESTS & THEIR ENTIRE PARTY WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE ​ ​

    Guests are encouraged to self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms before arrival:
    - Have you been in close contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19?
    - Are you experiencing shortness of breath, cough, or sore throat?
    - Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours?
    - If you answered YES to any of those questions, PLEASE STAY HOME! ​

    DOGS/PETS     Well-behaved dogs are welcome! We ask that all dogs be leashed and attended to at all times. If your dog is a nuisance or is left unattended, you will be asked to leave. ​ ​

    **CANCELLATION POLICY**
    More than 30 days notice: full refund
    7-30 days notice: 50% refund
    Less than 7 days notice: no refund ​

    *Coronavirus* If your party is affected by COVID-19 your stay will be fully refunded, no questions asked. We do ask that you notify us in advance of your stay. ​

    *Late Arrivals* Reservations for multiple days are automatically canceled without refund unless notice of late arrival is provided to the manager by 11:00 a.m. on the second day of the reservation.

    *Policy Adherence* Campers that fail to follow campground rules will be asked to leave immediately and are not eligible for a refund. Repeat offenders will be asked not to return to the campground. ​

    *Note* Becoming a member after making your reservation will not result in refunds for the member vs non-member rates for nights already booked. A member MUST be present to receive the member rate.
